Situated as the hub of Central Oregon, Bend is home to over 100,000 residents. Hugging the Deschutes River, Bend derives its name from being dubbed “Farewell Bend” at one of the Deschutes’ most fordable parts of the river. The US Postal Service felt that name was too long, so they shortened it and Bend got its name. Currently residing in Bend you can find outdoor enthusiasts taking advantage of the quick access to Mt. Bachelor, tech professionals in WFH startups, retirees enjoying the beautiful scenery, and students experiencing all that the outdoors has to teach them.

Visit the Old Mill or Downtown neighborhoods for boutique shopping, local restaurants, or various community events. The craft beer lover will adore the vast diversity of hometown breweries throughout the city. Finding outdoor recreation is possible in any season, from skiing down Mt. Bachelor, to floating the Deschutes river, or golfing the Lost Tracks Golf Course. Be prepared to fall in love with Bend!
